Michael "Mike" Vaccaro is a dedicated law enforcement professional with over 18 years of service at the New Rochelle Police Department. He worked as a Special Investigations Detective in the Criminal Investigation Division from 2016 until his retirement in 2023. During his distinguished career, he focused on crimes such as drug trafficking, prostitution, and illegal alcohol sales. He also collaborated with agencies like the FBI, DEA, and NYS Police and gained experience in crime scene management, evidence handling, and interrogations. Michael Vaccaro was recognized for his work and received several awards, including the Police Commissioner Award and Life Saving Unit Citations.
Michael Vaccaro started his career with the department as a Patrol Officer in 2005. In this role, he responded to various emergencies, conducted arrests, and analyzed crime trends. In December 2018, he earned the title of Police Officer of the Month for his ability to handle high-stress situations and commitment to ethical standards.
Outside of work, Mr. Vaccaro has maintained a passion for fitness for over 25 years and trained in Krav Maga, where he earned a green belt. He enjoys hiking, whitewater rafting, and traveling to Florida and Aruba. He also enjoys golf and dining out at hibachi and steak restaurants.
